Missouri Deer

An 8 point that survived the Missouri deer seasons as seen in February. The Missouri 4-point one side zone has greatly improved the quality and number of bucks to be seen.
Missouri muzzleloader deer hunting is an under unused deer season where even seeing another muzzleloader hunter in a motel parking lot is a rarity.
Missouri muzzleloader season follows the Missouri rifle season at the end of November beginning of December. Missouri muzzleloader may overlap that of Kansas and Kansas modern gun season on some years. Muzzleloader tags may be purchased by non-residents online.
Missouri allows one buck and unlimited doe tags during muzzleloader season.
Inline, sold powder and scopes allowed.
Mid-America Hunting Association brings to the Missouri muzzleloader deer hunter the chance to walk up his bucks giving one more chance to use the Missouri firearms tag to harvest a trophy whitetail saving filling the freezer with cheap over the counter doe tags. What really happens is by this point in the year most gun deer hunters have had their fill of deer hunting and in spite of preseason bragging about days spent in field most lack the energy to deer hunt all the available deer seasons.
Mid-America Hunting Association's contribution to Missouri muzzleloader deer hunting includes private land use throughout the season for the self guided deer hunter. The value is that our land will have had far less pressure than Missouri public lands during the earlier Missouri modern firearms season.
MAHA hunter land use during this deer season is more for Bobwhite Quail hunts and duck hunts on our wetlands. Other MAHA Missouri muzzleloader deer hunters are few.
Our one cost allows for hunting every day of the season at the hunter's discretion.
This allows for one more buck tag opportunity amongst the three state deer hunt options we provide.
A Missouri muzzleloader hunt can be easily attached to the beginning of a Kansas modern rifle season hunt and combined within one trip.
We encourage doe harvest and the Missouri muzzleloader season combined with their large deer herd is one more chance to cap off the freezer insuring venison on the table throughout the year.
No MAHA member is ever denied a deer hunt during any state regulated deer season. The muzzleloader tag may be a last minute purchased just before traveling out to hunt leaving flexibility until the season end date to decide if wanting to hunt. That tag buying flexibility combined with our allowing reservation lead time as short as the day of the hunt means all may hunt as a long range plan or as a short notice get out and enjoy life hunt.
Missouri muzzleloader benefits to the muzzleloader hunter is that this is one of four muzzleloader seasons across Missouri, Iowa and Kansas to spend more than six weeks a year muzzleloader deer hunting covering pre, trail and post rut deer behavior patterns.
Amongst the Iowa, Kansas and Missouri muzzleloader seasons the deer hunter will easily find one or more to fit his vacation and other deer hunt plans through out the year. The bottom line is that these muzzleloader seasons plus MAHA private lease land means every deer hunter that wants to muzzleloader deer hunt will be able to do so for at least one trip or more each season.
Missouri has a four point one side restriction zone that has been around long enough that most that hunt it see enough good deer that an eight point buck is no longer big enough. The opportunity for a ten and twelve point buck is high enough that most that hunt Missouri's point restriction zone pass on all but the very largest eight points.
Missouri muzzleloader consequences focus singularly on Missouri's muzzleloader season falls right after the Missouri modern rifle season.
The issue is that Missouri being a very hunter friendly state allows unlimited, over-the-counter deer licensing to residents and non-residents for the modern rifle deer season, Missouri has a larger deer herd and a good many incidental weekend only deer hunters. These weekend deer hunters apply more pressure to deer hunting during Missouri's two modern firearms deer season weekends than seen during any other deer season in Missouri, Iowa or Kansas. This puts the deer on edge. The muzzleloader hunter that falls in behind this level of hunter pressure and on a trail rut deer pattern must be prepared to adapt to the deer hunting conditions at hand and not come with a pre disposition at how to deer hunt.
The Missouri muzzleloader deer season is another option for our deer hunter/members that typically hunt two of our states each year being able to fit in one more hunt for the year.
