After a slow start on a misty morning…Julie was able to coax this ole’ boy a long way with her Call Girl pot. Her calling efforts resulted in a beautiful show that we watched for over 5 minutes as the tom strutted in between the decoys. She sealed the deal at 17 yards. The bird was 25.58 pounds and sported a 10 7/8” beard and 1 1/8” & 1 ¼” spurs. A very nice longbeard!!!
It has been a privilege to watch Julie mature each year as a hunter. We were truly blessed to spend time together on yet another beautiful spring day…and enjoy nature at its finest!
Thanks, yet one more time!

Congratulations to Julie! Thank you for sharing. There are a good many folks that enjoy seeing your pictures.
Here's a pic of my sons first turkey. There were some pretty tense moments as we had a doe come within 10' of us right before this turkey came over the hill in full strut. She was acting very spooky and I expected her to bust us at any time. My son maintained his composure and was able to pull off the shot as soon as the turkey cleared a cedar tree within range. I think I have myself a turkey hunter as he was pretty excited. We couldn't of asked for a better day to hunt. The early warm up has really has them going as the turkeys were gobbling and responding to calls all morning. Hopefully this will continue once the regular season starts. Thanks for providing the opportunities where we can build memories like this. Travis
Wow, congratulations. Special day. Thank you for the first one of the season.
