I had a picture perfect Missouri opener. I snuck in an hour early about 100 yards from the roost and sat tight. There were 4 toms and a couple of hens. The toms gobbled on and off for about a half hour. They all flew down one at a time and worked their way to my lone decoy. I shot once and they all jumped up and immediately settled down. I stayed put and watched the three other toms kick and peck the downed bird for over a half hour. They eventually worked their way down the creek bottom like nothing ever happened.
