A young hunter with his first archery harvest. Congrats Brian. Those that have done it can appreciate what it's all about.

Kansas Deer
Self guided never meant perfect. Part of the consequence that goes hand in hand with the benefits is that reservations to date show a concentration of hunters in Republic County. Conversely Nemaha, Marshall and Mitchell Counties are largely open.

Wayne A 24 This farm has been in the club for close to ten years and has been deer hunted very little, if any at all the last couple of years. It has timber, crp grass, crop and water. Since the two farms are only 40 acres each we're assuming the members prefer larger acreage.

"...this was taken on the opening day, on one of the properties you told me to have a look at. So far the properties I've hunted have most all looked good, not always connecting, but seeing deer. Thanks again, I've found some new areas to hunt and will be back to hunt this one next year..."

And, the kicker is that Jim travels all the way from Maine! Wow. Congratulations Jim. You set the example.

Listening about how Jim must hunt in Maine was a good reminder of how we, the local hunter, have some great hunting.

Rimas catching a bass close to 6lbs.

Thank you Rimas, good to see some one fishing.

A video from Jeremy.

Kansas Pheasant
This year opening day of the 2010 Missouri firearms deer and Kansas pheasant season open on the same day. To help the members and the office staff avoid busy phones we are taking Kansas pheasant reservations 32 days in advance rather than 30 days. Kansas pheasant reservations will begin Tuesday October 12th at 9am CST. Missouri deer reservations will begin Thursday October 14th at 9am CST.
