Quail Hunters - John and Jacko

Rare to find a flushing/retriever that works quail well, good to see that potential exists.

The very rare pointing lab with Kansas quail

We are not quail hunters but this day it was a quail hunting day to remember. We stopped short for the first day out to work our legs. We bumped into a covey right out of the truck and found five that afternoon. Shooting was tough like teal with trees in the way. Overall a great hunt. Jacko went from never having seen a quail to going crazy finding one to his left, then right, then back again. He looks great in the picture bit I can tell you he ran a couple of pounds off that day.
