Why Our Duck Hunting Is Where We Put It

While our Missouri wetlands map seems to have Kansas City surrounded we do not select our wetlands relative to any area other than where waterfowl want to be. These wetlands are within three sub-basins which compose the larger Lower Missouri River Basin. Our wetlands are further defined within micro flyways of of those sub-basins. A key factor of these micro flyways are large standing water structures within agricultural regions. This brings a good combination of water with food combined with our frequently mild winter weather creates conditions for migration layover.

Not A Typical Duck Hunting Clubs Format

We offer this short description as we do fight an identity bias that we are a Kansas City Duck Club. We would rather not have that identity.

An identity we seek is we are a business. As a business we seek to spend money where we get a good return for our hunters. In this case our choice is to spend money within micro flyways by developing existing wetlands to maximize their waterfowl attracting characteristics. A single minded focus that a quality hunt is based on quality habitat. A clubs opposing characteristic is to have one spot, not the several we have. Or, a means to go where the ducks are than to just a clubs' one spot location.

Great ducks

Such banger days are always worth a picture. Such days do not happen as often as any of us would like. These pictures are samples of various hunters on several good days. There will always be far more less than limit days than limit days.

Rarely is anyone who hunts our Missouri wetlands is ever disappointed by the quality of our blinds or wetlands. After that it is just a matter of migration and weather.

Traveling waterfowl hunters

Traveling from Florida to hunt Missouri ducks.

Another aspect that separates us from other clubs is as a duck hunting business we are free of strings which come with a social or clubs type organization. With our approach every hunter is treated friendly without any friendship influencing how any one hunter is treated.

Goose hunting

Beyond ducks we have wet, dry and combination wet and dry field set goose hunting. A Spring snow goose hunt with average results. Some days hundreds are harvested. Other days getting five is lucky.
