With record breaking rainfall during the month of May, the ponds have been muddy to say the least.

Poison Ivy

For those traveling from states that do not have poison ivy, we would like to remind everyone while sneaking on turkeys, trimming trees for ground blinds or to hang blinds, poison ivy is everywhere in Missouri, Iowa, and Eastern Kansas.  Below is a reminder of what it looks like both alive and dead.  Dead poison ivy is just as infectious as live poison ivy. 

Good preventive maintenance after hunting or scouting around poison ivy is to bring a change of clothes to change into and rinse all exposed skin areas with soap and water.
