Turkey Hunting
Just wanted to send you some photos from my western turkey hunt this year. I started in Nebraska on an Indian reservation. It was cold (15 degrees in the AM) like last year but I brought my cold weather gear this year with pack boots, down bibs and coat, etc. I took 2 long beards in NE.
I moved on to Iowa which was also cold some days. Took a couple of days but I connected on a bird. He weighed 22 lb 10 oz, 9-inch beard, 1 inch spur.
On to Kansas and tagged out. This guy weighed 25 lbs 12 ozs, 11-inch beard, and 1-inch spur.
My 2nd bird weighed 22 lb 12 oz and had a 10 1/2-inch beard.
All in all it was a great trip covering 7,000 miles, hunting 3 states, and spending 4 weeks in the heartland which I truly enjoyed. Fran
