Waterfowl
Teal season opens Saturday and they are calling for rain. If the dirt paths leading to the wetlands, lakes and ponds are wet park and walk. Please do not make any ruts. It’s early and we have a long season to go.
Both the Henry County and Linn County wetlands water levels have been low leading into the weekend, especially Linn County. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we will have some new water.
We opened the gate a couple weeks ago in Henry B and were able to trap some water in the #3 wade-in area, but the but the blind #4 shooting pool remains dry as of today. We raised the spillway on Fishers Lake, so it is muddy right now. The landowner has instructed us to park at the first parking area. Vehicles are not allowed past the first parking area for any reason.
Henry A is closed due to some repair work, Henry D looks good and the Cass lakes are also in pretty good shape.
Good Luck and be safe.
