Missouri Waterfowl Leases
The 2025 Missouri waterfowl season proved challenging throughout much of the state due to a lack of water and low duck numbers- particularly on our managed wetlands in Henry County.
Recently, both Big Creek and the Grand River flooded, filling all of our lakes and sloughs. We plan to retain most of this water, draining and planting only a few select pools.

A successful 2025 hunt on one of MAHA’s Missouri waterfowl leases.
Missouri Duck Blinds
We recently developed a new method to cover our blinds with Rippy grass woven into cattle panels. After duck season they can be taken down, stored in a barn and re-used next fall.

Bruce, MAHA’s Wetlands Captain for over 40 years removes pin-oak limbs in preparation taking down the Rippy panels.

The back panels remain in perfect condition and can be rotated to the front of the blind.

The panels are lightweight and easy to handle, both during removal and installation.

Once again, a big thanks to Bruce for his devotion to the MAHA wetlands maintenance and for providing barn space to store our Rippy grass over the past 4 decades.
