Waterfowl
The 2024 Duck season was slow this year. There was a shortage of both ducks and water, but there was always a spot available for everyone to hunt.
Limit days were hard to come by but there were a couple quick pushes of birds to work in front of the cold fronts.
To get ahead of the game we have stripped the pin oaks off the blinds in the Middle Zone and have plans to do the same in the North Zone.
The photo above is blind 2 Henry A. We have had this lease for close to 40 years and this was only the second time Fisher’s Lake was dry.
Settles Ford was dry and that definitely had a negative impact on our Cass and Henry County leases for both ducks and geese.
