Hunted opening morning and only heard one bird in the distance and one lone shot from another member who got a quick fly down bird. I waited a couple of days and relocated to another farm and didn’t hear or see a bird for three days. After hunting all day I decided to drive around to the back side of the property at 6 pm and luckily spotted 2 lone Tom’s heading to roost.
Got up a half hour early the next morning, (which was four days in a row) slipped in quietly and put out a single hen decoy. They gobbled good on the roost, after a couple quiet yelps they flew down and slowly worked their way to greet my decoy.
