Hi Susie and Jon – It was a weird season for us. We had zero luck early in the season. We heard lots of birds, but the usual hangouts were empty, and the usual dead zones were full. There were TONS of hens running around and gangs of jakes badgering the mature toms, so they didn’t want to play much. This seemed to continue well into May. In fact, three of our four toms were taken on the last days of their respective seasons. Overall, we had a great time and are ready for next April to hurry up and roll around.
