Trail Cameras
Trail cameras are creating significant issues that we must address to prevent the loss of our leases and members. We’ve found that some members are placing and checking cameras without making reservations, which is leading to complaints from our landowners. If this practice continues, we will be forced to implement a zero-tolerance policy or ban cameras entirely to maintain our landowner relationships.
We also want to remind everyone that multiple MAHA landowners have already banned the use of cameras on their property, as noted on the front page of each PDF map.
To address these concerns, we are considering new rules, including:
- Limiting the number of cameras each member is allowed to use.
- Requiring members to label all cameras and stands with their name or member ID number.

Before we finalize a new camera policy, we would like to hear your feedback. Please send your thoughts to mahamembers@gmail.com, or give the office a quick call or text at 816-761-3636.
Below is an article we found on the negative aspects of trail camera usage. We encourage you to give it a quick read as you consider your feedback.
