Waterfowl
We have the blinds covered in Henry County and the conditions are currently very dry. We were able to take advantage of the heat and get some much needed excavation work completed.
Henry B blind 4. The shooting pool is currently not huntable, but the intake pipe is open and ready to take water.
Henry B blind 5. The slough is very low but currently has enough water to hunt.
Henry B wade-in 1 and 2 areas have huntable water but they need some water also.
Blind 2 Henry A. The slough is almost dry, but this pool is by far the easiest to fill, but we need a runoff rain to do so.
Henry A blind 1. The shooting pool is currently not huntable, but the intake pipe is open and ready to take water.
The deep hole in front of Blind 1 that was dug last year to install the stoplog structure was filled. This was a major repair.
All of the lakes in Cass A and B, Callaway and Linn County have good water. Also, the lakes in Atchison E and D are huntable.
