Upland Bird
Jon, took my dad out on association land for the first time since he joined. We had a great weekend together. It was his first time seeing the dogs work. We hunted on Friday and saw tons of hens and a few roosters flushing wild. Every time I’ve hunted this year I’ve ended up with a couple pheasants in the bag, until this trip. I guess this is typical of late season hunting though.
This weekend we hunted, and saw a lot of quail. We moved a covey or two every stop we made. We should have shot more birds; my dad is still getting the hang of things.
Today we hunted briefly in the snow, moved two coveys and a rooster. We saw very few pheasants. Fantastic time afield!
Thanks again,
David
Thanks for the report and photo David. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. It’s good to see some cold weather finally move in.
Tree Stands
Once again, a reminder to everyone all tree stands must be taken down and removed by the end of the season. Kansas archery closes December 31, Iowa Jan. 10 and Missouri January 15.
