Day 11 of a 7-day bow hunt things finally came together . Due to unseasonably warm weather deer movement was curtailed but, today was the best day I have ever experienced in a deer stand.
I passed this deer a few days ago with a few more days available to hunt (just didn’t want it to end). With time drawing to a close I was as excited as I have ever been watching him work his way down the creek toward my stand. After the shot I was sure it would be a short recovery….. wrong. These animals are tough!
Found him where he was originally was filmed 400 yds away. He had his velvet still on his left side as you can see in the video.
