Iowa Deer
Over the past 2 years we have discouraged members from applying for Iowa deer tags and turned down 30 plus Iowa new member deer applicants to avoid overcrowding MAHA leases. Long term we will need to create a solution to this problem since the demand to deer hunt Iowa has drastically increased.
For now we chose to drop a 290 acre lease in Marion County and replace it with a 1000 plus acre lease in Decatur and Wayne County. Below is an aerial of a 475 acre farm recently acquired in Wayne County for deer and turkey.
