October 14, 2019 Update

Linn County Wetlands

This weekend we covered the duck blinds in Linn County, which completes duck blind work for the 2019 season.

Waterfowl

BLIND 1

We did not cover blind 4 since there is so much vegetation in front of the blind. #4 will be a wade-in area this year. and There is a lot of water with some open pools on the north 1/2 of the east marsh.

BLIND 3

Blind 3 is an easy access blind but chest waders are required for hunting.

On the west marsh we did not cover blind 6 since there is so much vegetation in front of the blind. #6 will be a wade-in area and there is good open water east of the old blind.

We put together a make shift blind and placed it on the SW corner of the #5 wade-in area.

BLIND 5

The north 1/2 of the west marsh is covered with vegetation so blind 9 will now be a wade-in area. Also, for the first time in years we did not move any water from the holding lake so it will be available for wade-in hunting.
