Waterfowl

Hi, Jon,

We found decent water and had good numbers of teal buzz us all morning.  It was a good day to be on the marsh, Garry.

Henry D

We drained Henry D and have a good stand of moist soil vegetation, especially smartweed.

The shooting pool in front of blind 1 was sprayed and it appears we are holding some water in the SE corner of the lakebed around the drainpipe which was closed in June.

A Skid Steer with a brush cutter is scheduled to mow a couple shooting pools and thin out some small brush. Two drainage ditches that normally run water behind the east levee have been blocked to divert the water to the lakebed. All we and everyone else needs now is a good hard run off rain.

Below is a video of the last time we were able to work the lakebed in Henry D.
