This bird season had some challenges with the unseasonably warm weather. It made for quite a few short days in the field because of the quick warmups to the day were hard on the dog. The pheasant numbers seem about the same as last year, but I didn’t see as many quail as last year. The hot dry weather made it hard for the dog to scent the birds, but Luke and I did have a fair amount of success. Looking forward to the next season. Norman member since 2002

Waterfowl We are in the process of draining Winklers Lake in Henry A. The plans are to groom the levee, which was built in 1985

Turkey We are currently taking spring turkey reservations for all 3 states. It’s going very smooth with more than enough room for everyone. There are
