The unseasonably warm weather dampened the upland bird opener more than ever. There’s a lot of cover this year, the temps finally dropped so the best hunting is ahead of us and it’s a long season. Kansas firearms deer opens next Wednesday, so make sure you have blaze orange if you plan on bird hunting during the Kansas firearms season.
